Hello PHD Family!!!
I hope this newsletter finds each of you doing well! I know it has been a looonnnnggg time since I wrote this newsletter. We are back and not going anywhere!!! I was able - through your generous support! - to buy out the partner and remain here for all of you!!!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you for your love and support through this very difficult time, I truly appreciate all of your kind words and encouragement!
We are also back to normal hours - Tuesday 9:30 -7:30, Wednesday - Saturday 9:30-5:30 - Masks, face shields, or face covering is required per the governor and me, yes I required them before the governor, but I have to keep my quilting family safe, so thank you for your understanding!! We will still bring things to your car if you prefer not to come into the store due to Covid-19, just call or use the web site to place your order and let us know it is for curbside pickup.
An update concerning my mom: The cancer has spread to her liver. We have been on chemotherapy for one year now and the doctor will be going over our options and the status of the cancer on the 31st of July, so I will know more in August. I have been taking long weekends on occasion to spend precious time with her, so if I am not here, please know that I will be back soon and that I am with mom. Thank you all for your support and prayers, we truly appreciate them and they are what is keeping us going!
Tomorrow, Saturday July 25th, is our Christmas in July Party!!!
We will be having cookies for all and we will also be hosting our tea towel extravaganza, so you can get a tea towel and machine embroidery design for $5! We have gobs of tea towels and lots of designs to go on them!!! These will make great hostess gifts for all of our holiday gatherings!

July 27th - Bella Box Party!!
For all who purchased a Bella Box, we will be here working on projects from the box from 8:30 - 4pm. So stop on in, bring your embroidery machine and lets get those projects done!!!
July 28th - Bagaholics - Catch All Caddy!
You'll love this sturdy caddy with lots of easy-to-access slip pockets and dividers to hold and organize all of your supplies. Six slip pockets on the exterior and a zippered pocket on one end. Also includes expanding dividers on the inside organize a multitude of supplies or collapse to fall flat for a wide-open interior for plenty of storage possibilities.
Margaret will be teaching the Catch all Caddy from 10-4. Cost for the class is $30.
August 4 - Quilts of Valor
Quilts of Valor meets from 10 - 4! These ladies are amazing and have really knocked out some beautiful quilts for our veterans! Please come join the fun, the Quilts of Valor meet on the First Tuesday of the month.
August 11 - Bagoholics - Pack it in
Get organized, minimize stress, and streamline packing with these handy multi-sized cases. August 13 - Kimberbell Club: Pencil Pouch
Due to the popularity of this club there are two classes one at 10am and the other at 2pm. This month's project is the Pencil Pouch, very cute and in time for school!
August 18 - Bagaholics: Treasures & Trinkets
Store, protect, and organize jewelry, sewing supplies, or other small treasures in these handy cases in three sizes. The unique folding design and removable pods allow you to easily separate and protect multiple sizes and types of items. A top handle makes transporting easy, and a zippered closure keeps everything safe. Margaret will teach this class from 10-4, cost for the class is $30.
August 25 - Peppermint Candy Table Runner
A Machine Embroidery Pattern by Claudia's Creations. A beautiful table runner that teaches us to multi-hoop designs in an easy, foolproof way. This is a two day class with a week in between for homework and practice time. Classes will be from 10 - 4 on August 25th and September the 8th, so your runner will be ready for the holidays! Cost of the two-day class is $35.
August 28 - Quilting With a Walking Foot
JoLynn is back to teaching!! Learn from Jolynn O'Neil different techniques to quilt using your Walking Foot. If you have a guide to your walking foot bring it. This class is all about learning to use your walking foot! No free-motion. If your machine has decorative stitches we will use them. Cost for the class is $50.
August 29 - Scrap Crazy 8 Class
Make a Quilt using the Scrap Crazy templates and a Layer Cake. In this class you will learn to use templates to cut accurately, chain piecing, sewing an accurate ¼” seam, and how to apply borders correctly. Jo Lynn will be teaching this class from 10 - 4, cost is $50.
Block of the Months
With the store remaining open we have started our block of the month programs back up! As always, you choose when to start your block of the month!
Hill Country Heritage - $24.99 month, 12 months, available in July
Hill Country Heritage Block of the Month designed by Paula Barnes and Mary Ellen Robison of Red Crinoline Quilts featuring fabrics by Paula Barnes for Marcus Fabrics.The Hill Country Heritage BOM quilt features a vertical row setting, with a wide center row of 10" blocks flanked on either side by two rows of 5" blocks and sashing from the border stripe.This BOM will begin in July 2020 and run for 12 months at a cost of $24.99 per month. Kits will include Hill Country Heritage Pattern, Star Single HST papers and acrylic template and all fabrics needed to complete the top, backing and binding. Yes, the Hill Country Heritage Extra Wide Backing 0748 0142 is included in the Block of the month!!! The finished quilt is approximately 86" x 89"
Tonga Canyon - $28 month, 12 months, available in October
Beautiful Batiks from Timeless Treasure create this beautiful Quilt. A twelve month Block of Month Beginning in October 2020. Pattern by Wing and A Prayer.
