Well it has been a Hot and Busy Summer!
I hope this newsletter finds each of you doing well! I can't believe July is half over and I am just now getting a newsletter out! I have lots of news - some great and some not great. First, the good news - Having attended Handi Quilter Retail Academy in June, I was part of a ground-breaking event for Handi-Quilter, we have put together a Purple Book for people to be able to trade in their quilting machines! Announcing that at our Handi Quilter Education event caused a frenzy of trading and buying. All that said I have two Simply Sixteen on Little Foot frames to sell, one has electromagnetic channel locks and is priced at $4500 and the other is priced at $4000.

The shop has been busy this summer as sewing camps for our young sewers has been a lot of fun, we only have two more weeks of camps and then summer is over for them!
Class Updates
Now for the not great news. Many of you know and love our teacher Mrs. Sue, well due to some personal issues concerning her husband's health Ms. Sue is having to take a break. Right now she will continue to send you the instructions and printouts for Kimberbell and then you can pick up your kit and download your pattern when you come in the store any day after the scheduled class. The Westalee Ruler club and the Flower Dance classes that she teaches we are going to take a break until October, if she is unable to return by then I will either find another teacher or learn to do the projects so that I can teach them.
Karen is going to teach us how to make Jelly Roll Rugs! Jelly Roll Rug Class is Scheduled for September 8 with the followup class September 15 If this class fills up then we will schedule another for Friday September 7 and September 14 - make your jelly roll rug and take it with you, your choice oval or square!! We are continuing our bolt of the day program, so each morning the first cut of yardage decides the bolt and that lucky customer gets 20% off that cut and everyone else receives 15% off any cut off that bolt. Also a reminder if you take what’s on the bolt on any bolt in the store you receive 20% off that cut of fabric.
Arrow and Kangaroo cabinets are on closeout all in stock cabinets are 30% off.

BLOCK OF THE MONTH PROGRAMS, CLUBS AND CLASSES GALORE!! (I am only listing those that have available spots)
BLOCK OF THE MONTH PROGRAMS:
THOUGHTS OF THE MONTH - A hand embroidered pattern of the month - to keep as small quilts to display or put together into a quilt of encouragement. $10 month
Star Spangled in Blue - $15 month for 12 months A beautiful paper pieced block of the month!
Tranquility - $21 Month - 12 Months A deceptive Block of the month - this fabric looks like batiks but in reality it is all cotton prints!
Bell Canto - $45 Month - 7 months A unique Block of the Month that uses strips and that gives you 7 different quilt patterns, one each month, all of which uses the 2 1/2" strips! This Batik Block of the Month will start in April and will run for 7 months. The Tonga Stonewash has to be seen to be believed! This fabric is beautiful and has more blues than browns.
LEGENDARY LOVES: $23 MONTH. Begins November 1st.
Aunt Grace's Basket of Scraps - $26 Month A 9-month program from Marcus Fabrics - This is a combination of applique and pieced blocks. Sign up and purchase your book, then each month you will pick up your fabric kit. This BOM starts in February.
Painter's Garden - Your Choice of Pieced ($24 Month) or Appliqued ($29 Month) A 9-month program from Marcus Fabrics with your choice of how you complete the middle - pieced or appliqued. This BOM starts in March.
Bristle Creek Farmhouse - $24 Month A 12-month program from Marcus Fabrics.This BOM begins in January.
CLUBS/CLASSES:
Long Arm Club - due to low attendance I am discontinuing this club HQ Ruler Club - Meets on the first Wednesday of each month at 10am. Each month will feature a new Handi Quilter ruler. We will be kicking off a new ruler club with all new rulers in July!!!!! We will watch the video together, and then we will all practice with our new rulers. These rulers are exclusive to club members and will not be sold to the public until next year. $20 to join then $29 per ruler.
Kimberbell Embroidery Club - This club will meet on the second Thursday of the month at 10 am. Each month you will receive an exclusive Kimberbell Club pattern digital file, printed instruction sheet and kit to complete the project. Cost of this class is $39.99 per month and will be set up like a Block of the Month.
In addition to these classes we have partnered with McLennan Community College to teach the following:
T-Shirt Quilts Intro to Machine Quilting Finishing a Quilt Technique Classes Introduction to Quilting Beginning Quilting and Intermediate Quilting.
