PHD Quilts Newsletter

Welcome Summer!

I hope this newsletter finds each of you doing wellI hope you enjoyed Memorial Day weekend and found a moment to remember our service men and women, both past and present.
I have had a busy few weeks! Spring Market in Portland, Oregon was wonderful and we have lots of new notions, patterns and fabric lines to share with you all!!
I am currently in Salt Lake City, Utah at Retailer academy, learning about Handi Quilters and discovering my superpowers!

The shop will be busy this summer as we kick off sewing camps for our young sewers!
We have had to swap dates for some of our monthly classes, I was going to take a picture of our schedule and post it here in thee newsletter, but alas I can’t do that from the iPad, so please go to our web site and check the dates before class to make sure it hasn’t changed.

On June 14,15, and 16 we will be hosting Handi Quilter National educator Denise Best!
If you want to learn how to long arm, and/or learn tricks and techniques to strengthen your skills  then the Thursday classes are for you, if you have a pro stitcher and have the basics down then Friday is your day to learn how to rock quilting and take your quilting to the next level. For those of us who have art and stitch Saturday is our day to learn the wonders of art and stitch and how to design our own quilting designs with ease and joy. I am looking forward to learning from Denise, each time I have hosted an educator I have learned something new and strengthened my quilting skills. During this time, starting June Forth, Handi Quilter is having a thread promotion! So you get not only a great machine but some awesome threads as well!!

At the end of June or first of July, the first opportunity I have to work it in the schedule we will be hosting a Jelly Roll Rug class - make your jelly roll rug and take it with you, your choice oval or square!!

For the month of June Janome is running a buy at our employee’s price promotion, so all of our Janome machines are on sale for 25% off MSRP!

We are continuing our bolt of the day program, so each morning the first cut of yardage decides the bolt and that lucky customer gets 20% off that cut and everyone else receives 15% off any cut off that bolt. Also a reminder if you take what’s on the bolt on any bolt in the store you receive 20% off that cut of fabric.

Arrow and Kangaroo cabinets are on sale this month - all in stock cabinets are 25% off.

I look forward to seeing you all in the coming days and being back!! As much as I enjoy learning new things and finding new things for you I miss being out on the floor helping my quilting family make quilts!!!!!!

I am currently looking for a book keeper/ office clerk if you are that person or know a person that would be a good addition to our PHD family please come see me.
