Quilting Level I
Students will learn the language of quilting, and the tools needed to start a quilters tool kit. Student will also receive a "jelly roll" of precut fabrics from which they will complete a jelly roll race quilt top.
* If you have not already started your sewing box –start one now!
Supply List
- Sewing Machine. If you do not have one, check with the front desk about renting one for class.
- Rotary cutter - the medium is a good all-purpose size
- 6x24" rotary cutting ruler is a good one to start with (eventually you will add different sizes to your collection)
- Rotary cutting mat (as large as you have room for at home) You do not need to being the mat to class as you can use our mats during class. However, you will need one at home for completing homework.
- Scissors
- Straight quilting pins - quilting ones are a little longer than the dressmaking ones
- Needles for hand sewing
- Extra needles for your sewing machine
- Neutral thread (gray or beige) for all piecing
